Hereford Pharmacy Inc. in Parkton, MD is looking for pharmacy technicians to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations to patients (not required but seeking at least one technician who is certified, or willing to become certified, in administering vaccines)
• Assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide exceptional service to our patients and customers
• Acknowledge customers and patients in a timely fashion and in a sincere manner
• Offer assistance with products and services to ensure a positive customer experience
• Anticipate and respond to customer and patient needs
• Demonstrate an appreciation for customers and patients
• Utilize the pharmacy computer system to process prescriptions
• Successfully adjudicate prescriptions to third party payers
• Prepare medication orders and other healthcare products for patients
• Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
• Assist with inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and storing medications and supplies
• Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including all legal policies
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
• PTCB/ExCPT certification preferred, not required
• Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong computer skills

Compensation/Benefits
